How it works in the Sant Joan municipality
The north is the Ibiza of fincas, dirt tracks and winding roads, and that is exactly why taking the car to the ITV eats up half a day. We collect in Sant Joan de Labritja village, in Portinatx, in Sant Miquel de Balansat and its port, in Sant Llorenç de Balàfia, in Sant Vicent de sa Cala and in Cala Sant Vicent, and take the car to the Consell's station in Santa Gertrudis, the closest one for the whole municipality.
If your finca sits at the end of an unnamed track, send us the Google Maps pin for the gate on WhatsApp plus a landmark (a carob tree, a stone wall, the mailbox number on the main road). We arrive with time in hand and, if you like, use the trip to pick up a parcel or do a shop on the way.
Drive time from Sant Joan to the ITV
From Sant Joan village to Santa Gertrudis is about 20–25 minutes down through Sant Llorenç. Sant Miquel is 12–15 minutes along the Sant Miquel road, which runs straight to the station; Sant Llorenç 15; Portinatx and Port de Sant Miquel 30–35; Sant Vicent and Cala Sant Vicent 35–40. Traffic is not the issue up north: cyclists in spring and the slow car in front are, so we leave with plenty of margin.
A car collected in Portinatx for an 11:00 slot is usually back in its spot by around 13:30. If you can choose, mid-morning is ideal: we avoid the early-morning start and the station runs with less delay than at the end of the day.
What we need from you
The appointment (date and time), the registration document, the technical card and valid insurance inside the car, and the keys. Many houses in the north are seasonal lets or looked after by an agent: we can pick up the keys from a key safe, at the agency or from the neighbour who minds the finca. If the car has sat for months, start it the day before and check the lights and tyre pressures; a tyre cracked by the sun is a certain fail.
Price: €89–129 VAT included
We charge €89–129 including VAT; the ITV fee (€28 for cars, paid at booking since August 2026) is separate. Sant Miquel and Sant Llorenç, a quarter of an hour from Santa Gertrudis, with a mid-day slot are €89. Sant Joan village and Benirràs come in at €109, and Portinatx, Port de Sant Miquel, Sant Vicent and Cala Sant Vicent at €129, as do slots before 8:30 or waits at the station well beyond half an hour. We always confirm the figure on WhatsApp before collecting.
If the inspection comes back unfavourable
You have two months to fix the defects and go back, and if you return within seven working days with minor defects there is no new fee. We can leave the car at a garage in Sant Joan, Sant Miquel or Santa Eulària as a driver service (€40–60/h, two-hour minimum) and repeat the run for the second inspection at the same per-trip price, so you never have to come down twice.

Questions about this service
Do you collect in Portinatx and Cala Sant Vicent?
Yes. Portinatx, Port de Sant Miquel, Sant Vicent and Cala Sant Vicent are the areas furthest from the ITV (30–40 minutes to Santa Gertrudis), so the price is €129 including VAT, with the ITV fee on top.
How long is the drive from Sant Joan to the ITV?
About 20–25 minutes from Sant Joan village, 12–15 from Sant Miquel along the road that leads straight to the station, and 30–40 from Portinatx or Cala Sant Vicent. Including the inspection and the return, the car is away for two and a half to four hours.
Can you book the appointment for me?
Yes. With the registration number, model and your details we look for a slot on the Consell d'Eivissa's online booking site. The fee (€28 for cars) is paid at booking; we advance it and bill it on. Freed-up slots appear mostly at the end of the week.
My finca is on a dirt track with no address — is that a problem?
Not at all. Send us the Google Maps pin and a visual landmark on WhatsApp. We work on northern tracks every day; we only ask that the car is accessible and not boxed in by another vehicle.
How much does it cost from Sant Miquel or Sant Llorenç?
€89 including VAT with a mid-day appointment: both villages are a quarter of an hour from Santa Gertrudis. The ITV fee is extra.
The car has been parked for months — will it pass?
It depends, but you can improve the odds a lot: start it the day before, check lights, tyre pressure and condition, and the washer fluid. If you prefer, we take it to a garage first for a quick check and then on to the inspection.
